Hi! I'm Helena.

  1. Experienced Developmental Editor
With over 20 years in the publishing industry, I have guided a wide range of authors — in both fiction and nonfiction — toward publication. I work with publishing houses as well as independent authors.
  2. Professional Editorial Standards
My editorial practice is guided by a thoughtfully designed, high-quality process that combines rigorous analysis with respect for the author’s voice and creative intention. Each collaboration results in a comprehensive editorial report accompanied by detailed margin comments.
  3. Academic Background
With a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Lund University and a Master 1 and Master 2 in Literature from Sorbonne University in Paris, my work is grounded in both craft and literary scholarship. I am also professionally trained in editing.
  4. Instructor and Mentor
In addition to working directly with authors, I teach and mentor future developmental editors through a professional training program, guiding them in structural analysis, constructive feedback, and manuscript development.
  5. Author and Contributor
Alongside my editorial work, I have ghostwritten several books and contributed chapters to professional writing guides and handbooks.
This dual perspective strengthens my ability to analyse, shape, and refine a manuscript with precision and insight.t.
